Here you can see our common ways to solder different types of cables which we sell on our website:
1) TS to TS (Unbalanced audio cable)
Ground (shield) wire connected to the Sleeve; Hot (conductor) wire connected to the Tip
2) TRS to TRS (Balanced audio cable)
Ground (shield) wire connected to the Sleeve; Hot (conductor) wire connected to the Tip, Cold (conductor) wire connected to the Ring
3) TRS to TS (Unbalanced audio cable)
No connection to Ring terminal.
Ground (shield) wire connected to the Sleeve; Hot (conductor) wire connected to the Tip
4) XLR to TRS (Balanced audio cable)
Ground (shield) wire connected with Pin1 and Sleeve; Hot (conductor) wire connected with Pin2 and Tip; Cold (conductor) wire connected with Pin3 and Ring
5) XLR to TS (Unbalanced audio cable)
Cold and Hot wire shorted together.
Ground (shield) wire conected to Pin1 and Sleeve; Cold (conductor) wire connected to Pin3 and Sleeve; Hot (conductor) wire connected to Pin2 and Tip.
6) XLR to XLR (Balanced audio cable)
Ground (shield) wire connected with Pin1 and Pin1; Hot (conductor) wire connected with Pin2 and Pin2; Cold (conductor) wire connected with Pin3 and Pin3.
